Brick by Brick: Our All-Inclusive Family Adventure at Legoland Dubai Resort
When we planned our first trip to the UAE, I knew we’d finish with something high-energy, colourful, and just a little bit magical. The boys have been LEGO® fans for years – and let’s be honest, you’re never too old for LEGO – so ending with Legoland Dubai Resort felt like the perfect grand finale.
From the moment we checked in, it was like stepping into a giant LEGO set. The lobby was alive with colour and detail, the walls lined with playful touches that made Carter and Cole’s eyes widen instantly. Our Ninjago-themed family room was just as exciting: the boys had their own bunk-bed den, complete with a treasure chest that only opened once they cracked the in-room treasure hunt clues. Cole helped Carter hunt them down, their laughter bouncing off the walls, while our own super-comfy bed promised a good night’s sleep after busy days. Even better – the TV came loaded with LEGO movies, perfect for winding down before bed.
Why We Chose Legoland Dubai to End Our UAE Trip
This was the grand finale of our UAE holiday. After days of beachside wellness and desert exploration, we wanted a full-throttle dose of fun before flying home. Legoland’s mix of adrenaline, creativity, and pure childhood wonder ticked every box – and gave us a family experience we’ll be talking about for years.
Why the All-Inclusive Worked for Us
This was our first all-inclusive theme park stay, and it took so much stress out of the trip. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and unlimited drinks at select hotel venues were included, which meant no scrambling for snacks or mentally adding up bills in the middle of the day.
It also gave us the freedom to say yes to fun little indulgences – like ice cream for breakfast (much to Carter’s delight) or dipping strawberries into the chocolate fountain at dinner. For balance, there were fresh fruit and crisp salads on offer every day, so we never felt like we were living entirely on sugar. After full-on days in the parks, sitting down to a relaxed meal without worrying about the price tag was a treat in itself.
Making a Splash – Our Water Park Highlights
We spent a lot of time at Legoland Water Park, and it quickly became a favourite part of the trip.
Build-A-Raft Championship
Carter and Cole got seriously competitive designing their own LEGO rafts and racing them down the channel. There were plenty of laughs, a little cheating, and a lot of splashing.
Slide Racer Showdowns
These side-by-side slides brought out everyone’s competitive streak. The “who was faster” debate is still going on.
Wave Pool Bliss
Sometimes we’d just float and let the gentle waves do the work, other times we’d jump in and splash until our cheeks hurt from laughing.
Evening Chill
Back at the hotel pool, we loved the sunset swim sessions and the evening pool parties. Carter even joined the dancing by the water one night – a holiday memory I’ll treasure.
Park Days Done Right
Having direct access to both Legoland Theme Park and Water Park was brilliant – we could be on a ride within ten minutes of leaving the room.
One of our favourite indoor escapes was Miniland. We spent over an hour exploring the 15,000 miniature models, from a perfectly recreated Burj Khalifa to a scaled-down Dubai Mall with tiny fountains that “danced” just like the real thing. It’s fully air-conditioned, so it was a perfect way to cool down while marvelling at the craftsmanship.
Carter proudly earned his driving licence at the Junior Driving School, while the Dragon rollercoaster delivered just enough thrills to have all of us squealing – proof that it’s not just for kids.
Food, Glorious Food
We started each day at Bricks Family Restaurant, which was exactly what you want from a family breakfast – big, colourful, and full of variety. Lunches and dinners were spread across different LEGO-themed venues, which kept things interesting.
Between the chocolate fountains, endless ice cream, and healthy options like fresh fruit, salads, and grilled meats, there was something for every mood and every energy level. On more relaxed evenings, we’d eat early, then wander back to the room for a film night with LEGO movies on the TV.
Evenings Made Easy
After busy park days, evenings were about balance – sometimes it was the buzz of a pool party, other times it was the calm of sitting by the hotel pool with a drink while the boys played nearby. The convenience of being steps from our room made everything feel effortless.
Why We’d Recommend It
For families who love LEGO, theme parks, and convenience, Legoland Dubai Resort is a winner. The all-inclusive option means you can focus on making memories, not managing a budget. The rooms are designed for fun and comfort, the parks are right on your doorstep, and there’s enough variety to keep both kids and adults happy.
For us, it was the perfect way to round off our UAE adventure – high-energy, full of laughter, and filled with moments that brought us together.
