Hello!

I’m Lauren, a travel photographer and journalist based in Scotland, telling stories through words and imagery for the travel and hospitality world.

Travel has always been part of my life, but becoming a parent changed how I experience it. These days I travel both solo and with my family, seeking out places that feel considered, welcoming and genuinely memorable, whether that’s a beautifully designed city hotel, a slow island escape or a family-friendly resort that actually works in real life.

My words have appeared in Good Housekeeping, Country & Town House and The Standard, amongst other national press. I’m also a regular contributor to Women’s Fitness UK, which has seen me enthusiastically taking up new hobbies in my 30s, including skiing, surfing and diving, usually slightly out of my comfort zone but always worth it.

Alongside editorial work, I collaborate with hotel brands and tourism boards to create natural, story-led content. Past and ongoing partnerships include Four Seasons, Kimpton, Marriott and Rosewood, as well as tourism boards such as Travel Nevada, Visit Orlando, Visit California, The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and LVCVA.

I travel with my husband Colin and our two boys, Cole and Carter, now 9, who have grown up thinking airport lounges are fairly normal. Family travel plays a big role in my work, but so does wellness, movement and those quieter moments that tend to stay with you long after you’ve unpacked.

My visual style is editorial and light-led, with a love of good design, open space and real moments over perfection. Whether I’m shooting for a hotel, writing a feature or documenting life on the road, my aim is always the same: to capture how a place feels, not just how it looks.
